Monday’s trip to Oxford was the culmination of one year’s work on the book titles “Next Stop” and “New American Inside Out“.
Both titles were aimed at the Latin American English Language Training (ELT) market and involved an enormous amount of design, page makeup, illustration, artwork commissioning and project management.
Tinstar worked on the Students Books for NAIO and the Workbooks for NS whilst other agencies laboured over the other elements of the course.
The launch party was a great opportunity to meet up with many of the contributors to the books, including other designers, editors, authors and illustrators, as well as the teams whose responsibility it was to take the titles to market.
The Macmillan Oxford team made a number of presentations created specifically for our benefit, which showed what happened after the print process. This was useful because once a project leaves our studio, it’s important to remember that it has a ‘life after design’!
