James Adair of Big 5 Search is an expert in executive recruitment in Africa and emerging markets. He had reached a point where he was ready to launch a new venture into this arena.
Long before we discussed any potential work, we were mutually amazed that we had both spent time working as junior masters in two Zimbabwean prep schools only few miles apart. Although our time there was separated by a decade or so, it was another reminder of what a small world we live in.
A great number of swims and steam sessions later, we began to discuss the new project; startup branding for Big 5 Search. The name is an obvious nod to the ‘big five’ game of Africa; and the branding was equally influenced by the nature of the location.
Tinstar started on concepts for a new logo, followed by a suite of stationery and ultimately a website. The new business goes from strength to strength, as does my front crawl.
