Rainy Day 1970s Star Wars Figures Fun

It’s been a long time since I dug my 1970s Star Wars figures out of the attic. I had intended to give them to my son, Max, but judging by the surprisingly short lifespan of the Lego land speeder I gave him last year, I might just leave them to him in my will…

With the forthcoming, much anticipated (especially by men of my age) Star Wars VII film, I thought it would be a good opportunity to have a little creative fun with Max on a horribly wet, grey Sunday. We prepared the ground by finding a few Star Wars set backgrounds that might work well – and thanks to MaceMadunususA Fistful of Credits and LucasFilm, we managed it.

One iPad acted as the floor (in the case of the Death Star scenes, this was just turned off). Another iPad displayed whatever background was appropriate. A couple of torches were thrown into the mix and we were ready to go to the movies!
